We have had the honor of being featured in their reviews for a few releases and I wanted to highlight our current release and the most recent review and article about DCR on their website and socials. Please read the full review and below is a few extracts from it! 'After “Prophecy Is About To Reveal” released in June 2021, this new release, “Nothing To Hide, Nothing To Fear“, by Irish dubber producer King Scruffy, from Athlone, on the English label Dub Culture Records, delivers two new productions militant instrumental, followed by their Dub versions, mastered by Kris Kemist, to denounce and highlight the disappearance, little by little, of our civil liberties… It's time to unite and Dub is made for that !!! Dub Culture Records.A series of single covers coming out of the UK by Dub Culture Records. Emaj: Rootsman A dub single straight from the UK: Emaj from Dub Culture Records wanted a cover for his new single Rootsman, illustrating this tree creature made of roots & dub related equipment and machines. The tune itself sounds very mystical & esoteric. The Rootsman, a sentient tree thousands of years old. The tree feeds itself with machines and equipment brought over to the forest by humans setting up illegal raves, it punishes everyone who disrespects the forest by sending its two demons and its giant insects to terrify the wrongdoers. Some say they can hear sounds coming out of the forest and many suspect that the tree is now using the confiscated machines for its own pleasure. A creative monster. I’m Andrew, or Drupy... or Dru. I’m a Malteser living on the island, doing what i love: creating illustrations, branding, interacting with nature, travelling, growing plants, connoisseuring craft beer, cooking (and eating) & being a slave to my cat, Chicken. Have a passion for the entertainment industry, I love doing posters and album covers & branding for festivals. I also have a huge passion for anything printed, especially packaging & book covers. The other side of me also loves graphic design, layouts, interface designs, instructions and more technical oriented stuff which makes products and services a little less boring to follow. I also have a few side projects which I’m part of, such as One Drop Festival, which is a small 3-day festival which takes place in Malta with the basis of Reggae, Dub, Ska, dancehall & anything in between. I also form part of Popp, an online curated shop featuring the biggest selection of craft beers, speciality drinks, sodas & snacks on the island. Mighty Pepper Meets Emaj Ft Fikir Amlak: Freedom Time
The second in the series for Dub Culture Records, a simple illustrated cover using ethnic symbology made out of stone. This time, a collaboration between two producers and an MC. Mighty Pepper meets Emaj featuring Fikir Amlak. Dub Culture Records asked me to use an ethnic symbol originating from western Africa, one of the Adinkra symbols originating mainly from Ghana which generally represent concepts and aphorisms. The Fawohodie symbol is a representation of independence, freedom & emancipation. Live this Sunday on our Instagram don't miss your favorite reggae artists
