Emaj

Emaj is a UK-born and based producer, selecta and dub master for Dub Culture Records. His style is characterized by darker, electronic sound design, mixed with the roots of reggae and dub, which blend with deep atmospheric soundscapes and create their own style. As a prolific producer with over 15 years of experience, starting his production career creating jungle, drum and bass and bass heavy dance music, he decided to take a break from making music to study. In this period of study and reflection, whilst on a production course Emaj developed his sound and released a dub ep – ‘Dubterranian’ in 2014. Signed to Mindtrick Music, he went on to produce and release two more crucial dub singles ‘Mighty Dub’ & ‘Enigmatic’ both in 2015. In 2017 after several years of work Emaj launched his record label Dub Culture Records. He published his work ‘Wha Dem Seh’ as the launch single. Since then Emaj has had 2 more releases, the last being ‘Dub Strike’ a conscious dubwise EP consisting of four heavy steppers riddims. Alongside his digital release back catalogue Emaj is also operator and selecta of Killossus Sound System (Bristol, UK).

Mighty Pepper

Mighty Pepper is a producer from Tel Aviv. His latest instrumental EP ‘Parallel Wilderness’ was released earlier this year on Dub Culture Records, after shifting his focus from collaborations with local MCs and singers on reggae, dub and hip hop projects.

Mighty Pepper combines a wide range of influences including dub, digital dancehall, dubstep and more to create unique, retro, spaced out, ominous grooves.

Ras Soto is a Mozambican singer and songwriter of Reggae, Dancehall and Ragga Muffin styles, currently living in Brazil.
His career is marked not only by musical performance, but also by activism in social causes of his country and world wide. He accumulates a vast repertoire, bringing social activism, Africanity and love as an agenda of his compositions.

 Hi, I'm Ja Snoke, I'm from Milan, Italy and as my main passion I produce Dub / Reggae / Steppa music.
I have been a flutist since I was a kid and I continued learning other instruments self-taught.
I started my musical career in 2018 after the Rototom Sunsplash, I realized I needed the feeling of the sound system’s sub bass hitting my chest and stomach.
I have released 4 singles (the latest Police Brutality) and 1 Album (Primitive).
I hope to leave a message in this world.

King Scruffy

King Scruffy is an Irish Dub producer. Deeply effected by the corruption and suffering of the world King Scruffy hopes to deliver a message of unity and awareness through his music. Highly influenced by old Delta Blues and old 70s dub, King Scruffy’s style is slow and heavy.
 
His interest in music started at a young age when he studied classical guitar, his love for one instrument lead on to a love for many others and their different sounds and frequencies.
 
King Scruffy believes Roots music is a timeless music for an ageless generation and it is a life long dedication to creation.

Riddim Conference

Riddim Conference aka Shanty Nob

Riddim Conference aka Shanty Nob is a staple of the Japanese Reggae Scene. A multi-instrumentalist, he has played bass for 30 years, notably with heavy roots reggae band CULTIVATOR. As well as this he plays melodica, piano, trumpet, guitar and drums.
Shanty Nob has worked with Tribe Works - one of the oldest and best-loved Japanese Sound Systems.
As testament to his stature within the genre, his tunes are played by Jah Shaka himself, especially his collaborations with Johnny Clarke and Rod Taylor from his first LP in 2018.

Dumisani Chirwa (born 13th July 1994) popularly known as Dumis9ne I is a Malawian reggae/afro-dancehall artist.  His stage name Dumis9ne I replaced the name Vanting which was given to him at school by his friends. His music journey started at a very tender age of 10. His journey has been influenced by different kinds of genres, but hip-hop was his first love. Throughout the years he has been experimenting on a lot of genres until he found his peace in reggae. Some of the  artist who has shaped his way of delivering are artists such as Evison Matafale, VIC Marley, Bob Marley, Jah9, Chronixx, Vaughn Benjamin(voice of Akea Beka  and Midnite) and Damian Marley just to name a few, without forgetting Hip Hop artists. His music has been branded Malawia gold alongside artist like Manzy don Mecca, purpose, Positive yut, Chronik,Tonga Heritage, 16bazz and other Malawian artist.

His music content revolves around love, peace, creation, humanity, anti-war and positivity in general

Dub Culture Records DCR - was established in 2017 with the intent of assisting lower end and upcoming artists with breaking into the world of music. We are a reggae, roots and dub music label with a focus on heavy bass music. After years of dedication to our favorite artists, and realizing we had the ability to positively impact the community we decided to contribute in our own way. Our goal with the Label is to collaborate with artists from start to finish, helping with releases, visuals, and cover art.
